Voices From Eureka's Silent City

The all new, 10th annual “Voices from Eureka's Silent City” living history tours this year will be “Remembering the Armistice,” the signing of the end of WWI. One hundred years ago on the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month in 1918, a treaty with Germany was signed that signaled a cease fire on the Western Front in France. To commemorate this Armistice, the actors this year will tell the stories of some of the local soldiers and how the war affected them and also the lives of those left behind here in Eureka Springs. Performance dates are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 18th, 19th and 20th, then again on Friday and Saturday, October 26th and 27th. These voices will be heard on each of the above dates on guided tours through the Eureka Springs City Cemetery, beginning at 5:30 pm, and every twenty minutes thereafter until 8:30 pm. There is free parking at the former Victoria Inn parking lot on Hwy. 62 East, with free shuttle service to the cemetery. (There is no parking at the cemetery.) Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets will be available soon, but may also be purchased at the parking site (4028 E. Van Buren Street,) on performance dates.
