Celebrate 60 years of storytelling, creativity, and community at the Ozark Creative Writers 60th Anniversary Conference, happening October 8–10, 2026, at the Inn of the Ozarks Conference Center in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

One of the region’s longest-running writing conferences, Ozark Creative Writers welcomes new, emerging, and accomplished writers for three days focused on strengthening the craft of writing, developing new skills, finding inspiration, and connecting with fellow writers and industry professionals.

This milestone conference features keynote speakers Lisa Wingate, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Before We Were Yours, and Krista Rolfzen Soukup, along with a diverse lineup of featured presenters including Terry Alexander, E. Joe Brown, George Frazier, Tierney James, Xavier Poe Kane, Betsey Kulakowski, Max McCoy, and David C. Reed. Sessions will cover topics ranging from storytelling and book tours to social media marketing, thrillers, travel writing, cybersecurity, and writing authentic law-enforcement characters.

Writers can also take part in the conference’s extensive slate of writing contests, with more than $3,000 in prize money available and no additional contest entry fee. Contest entries are due August 31, 2026, and entrants must be registered for the full conference.
